Study Plans:PSC do not use - To achieve W243 Certificate III in Locksmithing MEM30805, students need to complete: - Mandatory units - At least 40 points of Locksmithing stream units - Specialisation units to bring the total value of Locksmithing stream units and Specialisation units to at least 76 points

 -About This Course
This qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to work in the locksmithing industry. You usually have to complete an apprenticeship in locksmithing, which involves both on and off the job training. The off-the-job training is provided through Registered Training Organisations. Fees are payable at the time of enrolment and the total charge is currently made up of the following components:

  • Tuition fees: these fees apply to all qualifications - including apprenticeships and traineeships - except access and bridging courses. Please note that you may be eligible for a concession on tuition fees. Please contact the Institute for concession categories.  
  • Resource fee: this fee covers the cost of materials and consumables provided by Challenger. Resource fees vary depending on the content of the course. Some courses such as marine studies, fishing operations, horticulture and outdoor recreation, incur high resource fees.

 -Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

If you have work related skills and experience, but don’t have a qualification or award to confirm it, then you may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

RPL can help you fast track your way to a nationally recognised qualification, or part of a qualification, without having to study areas in which you can already prove your competence.
